Fashion is an industry with a glamorous image, which often masks the social and environmental impacts associated with the production of fashion garments. The massive industrialization of fashion production has led to supply chains, stretching across the globe, to the development of fast fashion at low prices.

This means that the consumption of fashion products has increased exponentially.
